Entertainment book fundraiser

Know of anyone that would like an Entertainment Book this year? We now have the books available for purchase so if you know of anyone that may be interested please send them our way. The books available are NZ and Australian wide and 20% of all sales made via our payment page will come to us! This will help us hugely with purchasing more supplies so we can continue to keep sending our heart keepsakes out to families for free ❤
You'll receive hundreds of valuable offers for everything you love to do, and help our fundraising at the same time!

The Warehouse Bags for Good Neighbourhood partnership

Picture
Huggable Hearts has been chosen as one of the recipients for the The Warehouse ‘Bags for Good Neighbourhood’ programme and whats even more exciting is that we have not just been chosen at one store but four! So if you are shopping at The Warehouse Te Rapa, Hillcrest, Te Awamutu or Cambridge any time from 1st August until January 2018, Ask for a token and please vote for us.
The more tokens we get the greater the share of the funds are allocated to Huggable Hearts.
Thank you to The Warehouse for choosing to support us ❤

Good In the Hood

Picture
For the month of May, Huggable Hearts were chosen as one of four charities at Z K Drive in Hamilton and Z Te Awamutu. Customers got a token when they filled up or made a purchase and could choose which charity they supported by placing a token in the charities box. At the end of the promotion, $4,000 was divided up between the four charities. It was so awesome to watch our booth grow over the days and we would like to thank each and every one of you who came in and voted for us. We received an amazing $1560 from Z Te Awamutu & $820 from Z K Drive and we would like to thank both of these Z store's from the bottom of our hearts for choosing us as one of the charities. The money will help us hugely with purchasing more fabric, rice/filling & postage for our hearts to go out to families.

Now a Registered Charitable Trust!

Picture
Thanks to the amazing Charlotte from Davidson Twaddle Isaac Lawyers we are now an incorporated charitable trust and registered as a charity with the charities commission (CC52524). This opens exciting new doors for us at Huggable Hearts and we look forward to working towards reaching more families NZ wide as word spreads about our services we offer.

Baby Loss Awareness week

Picture
Baby Loss Awareness Week takes place from 9th to 15th October every year, ending with International Pregnancy and Infant Loss Day on October 15th. It provides an opportunity for parents, families and whanau around New Zealand to come together and remember the lives of their babies who have died. Sands groups around the country have events running during this week.

If you are interested in participating please refer to the Sands webpage for more info at www.sands.org.nz.

Huggable Hearts Memorial Garden

Our Annual event for our memorial garden is coming up in the next couple of months on October 15th - Now is the time to start decorating those rocks in memory of your beautiful angels and send in to us so we can add them to our garden at Huggable Hearts HQ.
If you have access to river stones/garden stones we invite you to decorate two stones identically however you like in memory of your angel and to send us one of the stones (we need to receive these by October 11th at the latest) Keep the other stone for yourself to place in your garden on the evening of the wave of light.
Send in your beautiful creations to Huggable Hearts, 16 Sheila Place, Dinsdale, Hamilton 3204.

Rice & Fabric Drive

Picture
My wonderful friend Amy organised a rice and fabric drive through her girl's school, where the children bought in some rice or fabric and swapped it for a cupcake. Amy made 250 cupcakes and the children managed to bring in 60kg of rice and a huge haul of fabric in return, how amazing is that!!! Thank you hugely to Amy Fuller and also Rotokauri School for helping us out with supplies we really appreciate. It will help so much for us to get more of our Hearts out to families in need.

If you are interested in hosting a drive for us, please contact us.
Huggable Hearts is a Registered Charitable Entity under the Charities Act 2005. Registration Number CC52524.
